Davey replaces Huhne
.JPG) Edward Davey MP has been confirmed as the UK's new Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change today after Chris Huhne suddenly resigned.
Davey, MP for Kingston and Surbiton in the UK South-east, has been a shadow chief secretary to the Treasury, a shadow education and skills secretary, and a shadow trade and industry secretary, and a shadow secretary of state for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs.
He studied Philosophy Politics and Economics at Oxford University and gain an MSC in economics from London University.
He lives in Surbiton with his wife and son.
