Deep Tawke well approved
Oslo-listed DNO International is preparing to start drilling its planned Tawke Deep exploration well later this year after partners approved the programme
DNO said partners have agreed to approve the Tawke Deep well which will be aiming to test the resource potential of Jurassic and Triassic intervals within the Tawke field area.
Drilling is expected to get underway in the third quarter this year.
Meanwhile DNO also reports that the Tawke 16 well on the northern extent of the field is progressing and it is expected to reach the main drilling target within the next few weeks.
