Elon appointment for RXT
Oslo-listed Reservoir Exploration Technology has secured a deal to carry out an ocean bottom cable survey offshore West Africa.
Hess Equatorial Guinea has contracted RXT to carry out the survey on the Elon field within the Okume field area offshore Equatorial Guinea, repeating the parameters of a 2003 streamer survey so that the OBD survey becomes a 4D monitor, RXT stated.
Work was due to commence this month and completion of the 42-day contract – worth is US $13 million is due next month.
Hess's parters in the field are UK-based Tullow Oil and GE Petrol
