Xcite seeks Bentley pipeline permit
Xcite Energy has made an application to install temporary pipeline for its Bentley heavy oil development in the UK sector of the North Sea,
Xcite has applied for a permit from the UK's Department of Energy and Climate Change to install the temporary flowline between the planned location of the Rowan Norway jackup rig and a shuttle tanker, which is to be positioned 1.7 kilometres (1.06 miles) east of the rig.
Bentley lies in UK block 9/3b and is estimated to contain between 500 and 800 million barrels of 11º API oil and first oil is targeted for this year in a phased development programme.
